Happy Halloween!

I have absolutely nothing to do today until 5:30p. I'm going to the Stake "Trunk or Treat" I have plastic spider rings and rubber bats to give. That way if I don't run out I won't feel obligated to eat the left-overs.
It is 12:30p. maybe I should get off the computer and take a shower. Then wander downstairs and get something to eat for Breakf...lunch. What do ya think?

Power, need power

About a week and a half ago I finally got my c-pap machine. The theory is that I will sleep better and wake more refreshed. UUUUUhhhhhhhhhhhggggg. Do I sound frustrated? They gave me a 1/2 hour tutorial on the care and feeding of the machine I use, then had me pick out a mask to go with the machine. Threw that in a bag and sent me home. It's taken me 10 days to get the mask so it doesn't: leak air, pinch my face, hair, nose. Smash my nose, fall off or cut off circulation. After the first night I was ready to flush it. I went back to where I got it and they gave me some help, but it has still taken a whole lot of time and frustration trying to get used to it. Then........ when I think I have it figured out and can sleep thru the night I find another flaw........The mask has to fit pretty air tight under the nose, which I am getting used to. Sunday morning at 2am I awake with the feeling of being smothered. Some moron has flown their small plane into a power pole at the airport a 1/4 mile away. No power.......no air! I pull the mask off gasping for air to find myself in total darkness. The power came back on 2 hours later, but by then I had finally gotten back to sleep and the mask would have to wait another day.
Monday I went to Ukelele Ladies. I sure enjoy that. Afterwards I headed downstairs to the basement where I had my first Lung disease rehabilitation. I filled out an hours worth of paperwork and then he taught me how to properly breathe. It sounded kind of silly to me at first that my first lesson was how to breathe, but evidently when you have lung problems, you change your breathing habits and not always for the good. Wednesday he will add some exercises. 3 days per week for 3 months. Okie dokie!

Not much to report

Saturday Rich and I went to Parawon to the Fall Festival. We sold 15 Nek koolers all before 3;30, but the planner of the festival asked all the vendors to stay 'till 6p. We made it to 5p and then packed up and went home. Is was a good event, just a lot harder to sell koolers inside and have it raining outside, and noone took us up on letting us warm one up in the microwave for them.
Yesterday I rode with Rich on his route because I had a Dr. Kline appointment at 2:15p in St. George. Only saw the doc for 15 minutes and then we hopped back in the car and drove home.
Jane Halladay brought me some chilli for dinner. I think I will go down stairs and have some for lunch.

Got Air?

Last night the company that supplies my oxygen brought me a "concentrator". More or less, it makes it's own oxygen. and feeds it to me. I now wear a hose all around the house. And I sleep with it. I actually got a very restful sleep last night. This morning the air delivery guy came by and took my liquid oxygen canisters and left me with mini oxygen tanks. A little heavier than what I was carrying around but when I breath in they don't make the "puff" sound. It's just constant.

Sleep Study

Went to St. George last night. Had dinner at Chuck Wagon and then headed to the Sleep Lab. They hooked me up with all the leads again and then put a plastic mask on my face. I slept better than the original sleep study, but still woke up a lot. I went in at 9pm on Wednesday and came out at 6:15am on Thursday morning. A friend from church picked me up and took me back to Cedar City in the morning. We will see how it turns out. Dr. Kline appointment on Oct. 18th. 'Till then: oxygen when ever I move about, take my medication and try to have a better out-look on life. HA! Oh. That probably wasn't a positive laugh.

VISITORS, VISITORS!!!!!!
Richard stuffed the car with baby supplies and babies and came to visit us! Yeahhhhhhhhh! I am so happy you came to see us. We played in the back yard, had spaghetti and pizza for dinner and wandered the toy department of Wally World.
Thank you, thank you. I love you with all my heart.
